In marketing, perception is
reality
Taking a product to market requires assets, focus, drive, stamina and
attention to detail - a myriad of details. And since any one detail
missed can prove fatal, it's unwise to travel without a road map. A
thoroughly researched, well-conceived marketing plan is the essential
first step to success.
In order for our efforts to be successful they must reach a specific
group, vie for their increasingly limited attention span, make an
impression and illicit a response. Today's technology driven market
place is teeming with messages. And the sound bite has become the
communications method of choice - by default - the harsh reality is
consumers have little time to assimilate anything more.
It is in this environment that well branded products (ie; products with
strong positioning and strong creative) thrive. An offering is only
as good as it is perceived to be. A marketing strategy that works
will position the right messaging, at the appropriate time and place to
the correct audience - and will build the desired reality.
