XIGN, Inc.  (private) $14,000,000.  An emerging provider of B2B electronic e-checks for bill presentation and payment.  Investors include Charles R. Schwab and Matrix Partners.

Rockwell International.  Advised in selling a division to Digi International.  Also introduced several technologies which led to strategic relationships.

Cirrus Logic.  Semiconductor chip manufacturer. Product development advisory.  Led to several strategic technology relationships.

Lotus Pacific, Inc.  designer and incubator of broadband telecommunications equipment companies.  Advisory work on strategic business plan development, assisted in obtaining $20,000,000 in commitments for funding divisional entities, and advised in the IPO process.

KESCENT advised former senior management team of Motorla in the $2 billion acquisition of a global electronics distribution business, Veba. Obtained over $1 billion in debt commitments. 

Ambient Technologies.  Modem and DSL code developer.  Strategic advisory which led to an acquisition with Intel.

Telinet.  Unified messaging provider.  Arranged strategic relationship with Nortel.  Raised $3 million in startup capital.  Acquired by Telepost.

Call Manage.  Long distance access database.  Developed business and marketing strategy and introduced to several strategic partners.

nStor.  SANS storage company.  Oversaw the merger with Andataco.  Raised $15 million.  Sold software division to QLogic doe $7 million.

Email Channel.  Email direct marketing.  First opt-in email company worldwide.  Raised in excess of $2 million in start up capital.

HoneymoonInc.com.  Online Internet travel company.  Raised seed capital.

Hayes.  Founding modem manufacturer.  Business development and introduced new technologies.

Four Fold Technologies.  DSP developer.  Business advisory and developed strategic relationships.

U.S. Robotics.  Leading modem manufacturer (acquired by 3Com).  Introduced new technologies which they acquired.

Sound Designs.  Software modem switching technology.  Raised money through the Bird Foundation and established a relationship with Cirrus Logic.

NetLine.  Internet access via telephone keypad.  Advised in the sale to an Australian communications company.

GAD line.  Head-end cable modem equipment.  Strategic advisory.

Lightspeed Fiber Network.  Provider of wholesale Fiber Optic Services in New York.  Provided advisory financing work and represented the company in the disposition of assets consisting of key installed conduits and unlimited rights to provide fiber services in the City of New York.

INVENTURE, Inc. applications service provider for the financial analytics markets.  Arranged for the asset sale.

FIRST VIRTUAL HOLDINGS, Inc. (IPO).  Online electronic payment system.  Company changed name to Message Passing, inc. and was acquired.

PARALLAN COMPUTER (IPO).  Provider of high-end servers.  Later shifted into the multi-media disk storage markets.
